A Show of Hands

The situation in Macau was reaching a boiling point. You had the CCP move in on Hong Kong, and little was mentioned of Macau. On the one hand there was a hate-love relationship between the triads and the CCP. On the other hand, new legislation and a change of policies wasn’t going to create a better situation for the upper crust. Not the dons who drove exotic European cars— the type of people that’d buy a 20K watch in the tax-free zone at an airport. But the unfathomably rich— the jet-set who’d commute between Monaco and Shanghai.

The global elite speculated with the markets and laundered half the world’s dirty money in Macau casinos. The only place they could move a billion out of the country. By all means, an end would be put to their show. These guys were the ones that were either in the CCP or had the chair of State companies. It wasn’t a socialist doctrine. It was a charade of totalitarianism from the country’s elite. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” Yeah, right.

This pest, the triads, had been going on for too long. It wasn’t so much a fraternity anymore. While Hong Kong cinema was busy casting Chow Yun-fat fighting in the mean streets of Hong Kong, the country’s criminal aristocracy permeated every aspect of the global system.

Interests had shifted in the new global economy. Organized crime became political. The bubble is about to pop. It’ll be every man for himself. We’re talking global corporate warfare— A destabilization of the capitalist system as a doom scenario— In Canada, Wo On Lok cells are already running ops between BC, California and the Chinese mainland. The situation is inexorably going to escalate.
